The WNC LGBTQ+ Inclusion Team invites you to a free community dinner and special documentary screening on Monday, January 26 at 6 PM in Light of Christ United Methodist Church's sanctuary.

The evening begins with a complimentary, catered meal, followed by a screening of the documentary 1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture at 6:45 PM. The film follows a team of researchers uncovering how a single Bible mistranslation helped shape the modern anti-gay movement within Christianity. A facilitated conversation with panelists from the Western North Carolina Annual Conference will follow.

This event is FREE and open to all—whether you’re exploring faith, care about justice, or are simply curious to learn more.
